Well known in the United States for her biography of Marcel Proust’s mother (Madame Proust, Chicago University Press, 2007), Evelyne Bloch-Dano’s new biography, Vegetables, will be published again by Chicago University Press this Fall. She has won several prizes for her biographies, including the Grand Prix des lectrices de Elle for Madame Zola (Grasset, 1997).
