Bernard Besson is the Contrôleur général honoraire de la police nationale and an expert in economic and political intelligence. He is the author of a number of prize-winning thrillers, including Chien rouge (Editions du Seuil, 2008, winner of the Prix IEC de l’intelligence économique), Main basse sur l’Occident (Odile Jacob, 2010), and of several works of nonfiction, including De l’intelligence des risques à mission de protection (with Jean-Claude Possin, IFIE, 2008) and Introduction à l’intelligence économique (Chlorofeuilles, 1994).
