Ariane Bois
Ariane Bois was born into a Jewish family from Turkey, of Sephardic and Ashkenazi origins, who were part of the Turkish evacuation of some of its Jewish citizens from Paris. She studied at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and at the NYU School of Journalism. Her first novel, Et le jour pour eux sera comme la nuit (Ramsey, 2009), was well received in France, where it earned three literary prizes. In addition to being a novelist, Bois has worked as a French correspondent in the United States.
