The Chairman of the Department of British and American History and Humanities at the Institut universitaire de France and a professor at the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin, Bernard Cottret is the author of several books, including The Huguenots in England: Immigration and Settlement, 1550-1700 (Cambridge, September 1991), Bolinbroke’s Political Writings: The Conservative Enlightenment (St. Martin’s Press, August 1997) and Calvin: A Biography (Eerdmans Publishing, November 2000.)
