Eric Faye was born in 1963. He is the author of several essays on Ismail Kadaré and novels, including Je suis le gardien du phare (Librairie José Corti, 1997) winner of the Prix des deux magots and Croisière en mer des pluies (Stock, 1999) winner of the Unesco-Françoise Gallimard prize.
