Born and raised on a farm, Louis Malassis is a professor of rural studies and advisor to the French Ministry of Agriculture. He has also participated to the creation of the Agropolis Museum of Food and Agriculture of the World. Two of his works have been translated into English: The Rural World: Education and Development and Agriculture and the Development Process: Tentative Guidelines for Teaching.
