An engineer by training, Jean-José Puig has traveled frequently in Afghanistan since 1973. In addition, he has served as consultant for the United Nations, as well as Le Centre d'analyse et de prévision (CAP) of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He now volunteers for several human rights organizations. This is his first book.
