Philippe Ségur, a professor at the law school of the University of Perpignan, is the author of four other novels published by Buchet-Chastel, among them Autoportrait à l’ouvre-boîte (2003), and Poétique de l'égorgeur (2004). His first, Métaphysique du chien, received the 2002 Prix Renaudot des Lycéens as well as the 2003 Prix Edmée de La Rochefoucauld.
