Born in1966, Khadija al-Salami currently resides in Paris where she is director of the Center for Communication and Culture of Yemen. She is the director of Une étrangère dans sa ville (A Stranger in Her Town) a documentary film she wrote and directed which was awarded several international prizes at the 2005 Geneva Human Rights Film Festival. Pleure, ô reine de Saba ! is her first book, written in collaboration with her American husband.
