Born in 1922 in Sénégal, Joseph N’Diaye has been the curator of the House of Slaves in Gorée for over forty years. There, he has received personalities such as Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Pope John Paul II. During World War II, he served in the Free French Forces and took part in the liberation of France.
