Annie Ernaux is the recipient of numerous prizes including the Prix Renaudot. She is the author of a number of novels published in France by Gallimard. Among those translated into English and published by Seven Stories in the United States are: A Woman’s Story (2003), Simple Passion (2003), Happening (2001), I Remain in Darkness (2000), Shame (named a Publishers’ Weekly Best Book of 1998), and Exteriors (1996).
