Dany Laferrière
Dany Laferrière was born in Port-au-Prince in 1953. He left Haiti in June 1976 after the murder of a leading journalist and friend. It was the beginning of Duvalier’s corrupt and violent rule. He divides his time between Montreal and Miami.
