Description
Christophe Hostier, a published author, outwardly faithful husband, and father of two, seems to fit the mold of the ideal modern man: a success in both business and family. Deep down, however, he is nothing but a profusely cowardly and arrogant man, and he knows it. A business trip to Paris and Montreal to film a pilot for his upcoming talk-show offers him the distance to see his life clearly, and he does not like what he sees: suburbia, a bitter wife, and two unloving children. He decides to use the trip as an opportunity to come face to face with his numerous character flaws. Through the exploration of his faults, he believes that he will not only become a better man, but also get to the source of the universal male personae. A series of both comical and pathetic episodes ensue, ranging from encounters with French television celebrities to a somewhat failed affair with a Parisian woman in a New York hotel room. With comfortable, engaging, and often witty prose, One Man Show is the hilarious portrait of what could happen if a man looks too far inward!
