Eli S. returns to Jerusalem, this time for good. The city where peace once reigned, has now succumbed to fear with the beginning of the second uprising.

Eli S. is not a political person, and is neither Zionist nor religious. He depicts an Israel whose youth is more interested in the joys of surfing and the fluctuations of the NASDAQ than in the occupied territories, but where everyone knows that both life and death are imminent. This is an at times hilarious and often poignant initiation tale about the trials and tribulations of the generation of young, idealistic immigrants that make up a large part of Israel today.
